There are two seasons, but mostly summer. Summer smog makes the ground-level ozone form when kinds of pollutants bake in the hot summer sun. This can damage plants, animals, and even you! This is usually common in big cities.

Have you ever heard of ozone? Well guess what! Ozone may sound harmless, but can damage your lungs and cause asthma attacks. Even if people don’t have asthma it can still be hard for them to breathe because of high ground-level ozone. When ground-level reaches plants, trees and crops, it causes leaves to fall off and makes it look like having burned holes. Usually, this kind of ozone will prevent plants from growing bigger and sometimes destroy them.

Now winter smog is a different thing. In winter opposite layers can still form on evenings and mornings. It traps pollution near the ground. But still is bad for you and me, especially the environment!
